OUR VETERINARY SERVICES

Brookeside Veterinary Hospital is a full-service animal hospital and wellness center.  We provide in-house surgeries, a full range of diagnostic laboratory services, and a complete pet pharmacy.  Be sure to ask us about Senior Discounts and Multiple Pet Discounts for your pets!

Brookeside Veterinary Hospital is comprised of a modern hospital, surgical unit, radiology department and on-site laboratory.  We emphasize preventive care whenever possible to ensure a happy, healthy and long life for your pet.

We offer physical examination, vaccinations, heartworm and parasite prevention, geriatric health care programs for older pets, veterinary dentistry, and nutritional counseling services.

We recommend a complete physical exam for your pet on a yearly basis.  Lots of changes can occur from year to year, especially as your pet gets older.  Preventative health care recommendations are made based on examination findings and your pet’s individual needs and situation, which you help us to determine.  This may include blood, urine, or fecal tests, vaccinations, dietary or exercise advice, and life-style changes.

Our Veterinarians are trained in state-of-the-art surgical techniques should your pet require a surgical procedure.  We offer a full range of soft tissue surgeries from routine spays and neuters to more advanced procedures.  We perform surgeries using a laser to increase comfort for your pet's post operative recuperation.  In addition, we use an Sevoflurane anesthetic machine considered to be the safest anesthetic administration for pets.

On-Site Laboratory

At Brookeside Veterinary Hospital, you won't have to wait days for laboratory analysis.  Our fully equipped Idexx laboratory allows us to perform advanced diagnostics such as electrolytes, blood chemistry, and CBC testing to help us determine the best treatment plan for your pet's medical condition.  Immediate results can be shared to help you and your Veterinarian determine treatment options available for your pet's health care needs.

X-Ray

Our modern X-Ray equipment ensures your pet has minimal exposure to radiation, while our automatic processor produces clear, quality films.  Within minutes, we can have your pet's X-rays taken, processed and ready for interpretation by our doctors.

Veterinary Ultrasound

We also offer advanced Ultrasound technology to help us diagnose your pet's medical condition without the trauma of invasive exploratory surgery.  Ultrasound imaging can give us a clear and precise format from which to determine the most effective treatment options for your pet.

Our EKG and Pulse Oximetry equipment can monitor your Pet's heart rate and vital signs to better determine how well your Pet is responding to treatment and during surgical procedures.

Microchipping

Every day a beloved family pet is lost.  Tragically, most never make it back home because their owners didn't identify them.  The MicroChip is the professional way to identify your pet and is proven safe and effective.  A tiny MicroChip that contains a personal identification number distinguishes your pet as a special member of your family.  The MicroChip is so tiny that it fits through a hypodermic needle.  Just like a vaccination, it is injected under the skin of your pet where it remains safely for life.  This inexpensive procedure can be done anytime and protects virtually any pet in your household.

When It's Time To Say "Goodbye"

We provide Hospice Care at our facility and In-Home Euthanasia.

We also have additional services offered such as House Calls

or Animal Transport.
